Narrating India: Traditions, Attitudes, Directions. Proceedings of the National Conference on Indology with International Participation, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the “Indology” program at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” Sofia, October 16—17, 2023
Да разкажеш Индия: традиции, подходи и посоки
Language: Bulgarian, English

The collection presents recent works by Bulgarian and international scholars in the field of Indological studies and highlights the discipline’s contribution to the development of Indology in Bulgaria. The conference was attended by prominent scholars and researchers of the East from Austria, Belgium, India, Germany, Canada, Norway, Poland, the United States, Russia, Hungary, and Croatia. The texts presented in the book reflect the richness of the themes, methodological approaches, and research directions through which India is understood, interpreted, and “narrated” in the contemporary academic context. To narrate India means to confront a world that cannot be contained within a single perspective—a world of texts, images, ideas, beliefs, and stories that continues to inspire, provoke, and captivate.
