Studia praehistorica (ISSN 0204-9880) is peer-reviewed journal of the Department of prehistory at the National institute of archaeology with museum (Bulgarian academy of sciences). 
The journal features studies and articles about prehistory of Southeast Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean and Western Anatolia. It is published annually in English, German, French and Russian.
The journal’s editor-in-chief is Dr. Sc. Vassil Nikolov, professor of archaeology at the National institute of archaeology with museum (Bulgarian academy of sciences).
