Conversations with Prince Kiril: The Last Confession of Kiril of Preslav
Разговори с принц Кирил. Последната изповед на Кирил Преславски
Category: Bulgarian history
Language: Bulgarian
A bon vivant and admirer of female beauty, Prince Kiril Preslavski seems very different from his brother, Tsar Boris III of Bulgaria. In this book, we meet a typical representative of a monarchical dynasty — a man with extensive, profound knowledge and a sharp, penetrating mind. Politics and economics, finance and law, honor and dignity, patriotism and love of country, love and betrayal... the topics discussed in the prison cell with Mihail Topalov change and flow into one another, outlining the personality of the prince, who had avoided big politics all his life, but, ironically, got involved in it at the most inopportune moment.
Prince Kiril of Bulgaria (17 November 1895 — 1 February 1945) was the second son of Ferdinand I of Bulgaria and his first wife Marie Louise of Bourbon-Parma. He was a younger brother of Boris III of Bulgaria and a prince regent of the Kingdom of Bulgaria from 1943 to 1944. He was sentenced to death by the People's Court and executed on the night of 1 February 1945.
