   The book explores the processes of "identification" and "identifying" within literary works. It clarifies the use of the term "identification" in language and in the fields of some key psychoanalytic theories. The theoretical framework is applied to specific works in Bulgarian and Chinese literature from the 20th century. The book includes models of the poems "Heavenly Shopping Street," "Duel," and "Mountain People," the short stories "Erich Reiterer," "Tree Without Roots," and "The Lantern Festival," as well as the novels "Blood" and "Opera from Shaanxi."
