This study is devoted to the library that Osman Pazvantoğlu (1758-1807) founded in the town of Vidin (Nord-West Bulgaria) in the very beginning of the 19th century. Our attention is focused on the original catalogue of the library, preserved in the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library. The foundation of the library was his father's personal library and the donations of 115 other people. In 1848—1849, the Vidin Vakuf Library was established, which became a public city library that met the reading needs of the local Muslim population. The institution remains in people's minds as the library of Osman Pazvantoğlu.
