     The monograph explores the historical period of nearly two millennia (18th c. BC — 2nd c. AD), which covers the development of Ancient Judaism. It examines the major events of Biblical history in the context of Old Testament pedagogy through which God guides His chosen people and prepares them to receive the Messiah. The review of the period follows a certain chronological order, but also aims systematic presentation of the cultural, religious and social framework in which the Biblical narrative presents itself.
