Fauda: The collapse of the Near East

     The Near East is so called by Europeans. It is close to us both in geography, history and destiny. Just a few years ago, under the Arab Spring Manifesto, the rule of law in the region was put to the test. As a result waves of violence and fanaticism reached as far as European capitals. In Arabic, the word "fauda" means chaos. The chaos also emerged from the apocalyptic figure of the "caliph" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi with his "Islamic State" of jihadist thugs.
