Archeology of symbolism
Археология на символизма
Language: Bulgarian
People live not only among things and phenomena, but also among theirs' symbolic transformations. The former excite them with their usefulness, and the latter with their informative value. The symbols give environmental information and orient the individual about his activity. The signs, that have acquired the ability to direct people's thinking, have a long history of development. These are: symptomatic characters and silhouettes of the various objects; sculptures and drawings; numbers and notes; hieroglyphs and letters; frescoes and engravings etc. The offered book traces the semiotic genealogies and the different semantic uses of most of them.
