   The work explores questions such as: the conditions that turn the city of Pomorie into a first-class center for production of salt in Bulgaria; the legislative basis and legal organization of salt production in the city; the management and protection of salt marshes from flooding caused by strong sea storms; the functioning of the institutions related to salt production and their activities for its modernization and improvement — the Pomorie Saltworks Fund, the Salt Cooperative, etc. The research used historical sources from the state archives in Burgas and Sofia, the archive of the Municipality of Pomorie, documents from the National Library "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", the regional libraries in Burgas, Plovdiv and Varna, etc. A large number of photographs, figures, graphs and diagrams, statistical data, maps of the saltworks and other facilities in salt production are included.
