Fonti vaticane per la storia Bulgaria (sec. XVII) (Archives are speaking №71)
Vatican sources for Bulgarian history (17th century)
Language: Bulgarian, Italian, Latin
The publication includes 66 documents from the Vatican Apostolic Library. They cover the period 1608—1692 and reveal unknown moments of life and historical fate of Catholic communities in Bulgarian lands. Some of the published materials were written by the prominent Bulgarian Catholic figures of the era: Petar Bogdan, Petar Parchevich, Filip Stanislavov, Francesco Soimirović, Anton Stefanov and others. The sources also provide information about Bulgarians who studied in Italy and Dubrovnik, about the Bulgarian Pavlikyans, as well as about the relations between Catholics, Orthodox and Muslims in the Bulgarian lands. The documents are published in the original — Italian or Latin, and translated into Bulgarian.
