   Among the motley population of Brazil lives a small community of Bulgarians who arrived there in the last century. They inhabit the cities and rural areas, but remain almost unknown to their countrymen in the homeland. The author has studied the fates of over thirty Bulgarians — for each of them he finds documents, photographs, publications, meets with their relatives, visits the places where they live, often sits at the same table with them and writes down their memories.
