   The author Petar Stefanov is a professor of literature for children and adolescents at Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" and Thrace University, Stara Zagora. From 2003 to 2006, he was a lecturer in Bulgarian language and culture at the Ablaikhan University of World Languages, Almaty, Kazakhstan. He is the author of several books dedicated to children's literature in Bulgaria in the period 1944—1989.
