USSR vs. USA: CIA and KGB operations during the Cold War

     After the end of World War II, the interests of former allies have been radically different. The Cold War begins and it threatens to become real, even worse — nuclear. In this context, USSR's intelligence main task is to monitor the preparation of UK and the USA for a nuclear attack on the Soviet Union. At the same time Soviet intelligence services perform tasks related to the nuclear projects of the former allies and the information assurance of the Kremlin government. Of particular interest for Soviet secret services are the plans of Western countries for Germany and the creation of anti-Soviet blocks; dealing with crisis situations in West Berlin, the Middle East, Korea and the problems caused by the collapse of the colonial system.
