   After the Balkan Wars, several thousand Christian Bulgarians remained in European Turkey, whose rights were regulated in the Constantinople (1913) and Angora (1925) treaties. The book explores their history until the end of World War II. Built on documentary sources, the study traces the ethno-demographic processes in the development of this Bulgarian community; outlines its social and professional structure, church and school organization; reveals its place in the politics of the Bulgarian state, in the politics of the Turkish state and in the bilateral Bulgarian-Turkish relations. The study presents the Bulgarians in Turkey during the considered period as a minority community that preserves its national identity and its connection with Bulgaria.
