Romain Gary and French diplomatic bags. A documentary study
Language: Bulgarian
Romain Gary (1914—1980), a celebrated French novelist of Jewish origin, entered his diplomatic career since World War II. Quai d'Orsay sent him to Sofia in January 1946. At that time Bulgaria is a defeated and occupied country. The diplomatic archives of those years were composed by telegrams, monthly and annual reports that the junior diplomat can not sign in any way except with his initials RG. “RG” marks hundreds of pages written with dedication and often with sadness. The Bulgarian security services have a strong interest in the person they see in a special way.
