The primary goal of this study is to present the contribution of Eastern Balkan's population in development of the early metallurgy. Until 6th Millennium BC the primary materials for manufacturing of working tools have been stone, flint and bones. By that time the weapons and tools manufactured from these materials have exhausted all their inherent abilities for increasing their productivity. The population from Eastern Balkans made a decisive transition by developing a large-scale mining and production of copper, creating the base of metallurgical processes and moulding of tools and weapons from copper and its alloys. Presented data illustrates the stone- and bone- prototypes as well as the earliest copper tools, weapons and cult artefacts.
