   The seventeenth issue of the journal includes a selection of essays that explore the territories of both the western and eastern Balkans, from northwestern Bosnia through the Lower Danube to Eastern Thrace, and range in time from the Upper Paleolithic to the Late Bronze Age. Topics include a new theory for the spread of Anatomically Modern Humans, an evaluation of ditch filling practices, investigations on house construction and use, different approaches in the analysis of finds, a reconsideration of a transitional period, and a discussion on connections between central and peripheral communities.
