   Academician Vasil Nikolov's book includes 135 interviews and 26 articles in the media from 1993 to 2023. All materials refer to current challenges related to the archaeological heritage. The materials are arranged chronologically and the book can be defined as a history of the "battles" for the archaeological heritage after the changes in 1989, the attempts to privatize the cultural heritage, the timid actions of the state for its preservation etc. The role of the Bulgarian archaeological institute is emphasized, which clearly and categorically held a responsible position.
