Biographical inscriptions (Texts from the Ancient Egypt)

     The present study is devoted to some of the first texts that begin to be written in Ancient Egypt — biographical inscriptions. The texts were inscribed in hieroglyphs in tombs or on statues and stelae in temples. They present an idealized image of the individual that is oriented to maintaining self and memory after death.
