   The street network is a basic communicative element in the structure of any settlement system. The street network must have a clear and specific designation. The naming of streets, boulevards and squares is necessary with the development and modernization of city centres. This is also related to important cultural-cognitive and memorial aspects. The presented catalogue of the streets and squares in Sofia after the Liberation is the result of the author's long-term studies on the emergence and development of transport links in the Bulgarian capital.
