   The book publishes the Middle Bulgarian translation of the Pandektai (a collection of conciliar and patristic writings on canon law) of Nikon of the Black Mountain (cа.1025 — cа.1105)  from a Bulgarian manuscript of the mid.14th century with comparisons with two Russian and a later Bulgarian translation. The book also contains an overview of the studies on the Slavic translations of the Pandects with an emphasis on the literature on the Middle Bulgarian translation. Paleographic, orthographic and linguistic features of the published manuscript were examined, which show that the translation of the Pandects reflects many of the features of the Turnovo school before Patriarch Euthymius.
