Καρδία: Philosophy of feelings
Καρδία. Философия на чувствата
Category: Philosophy
Languge: Bulgarian

Can we speak of a new stage in philosophical anthropology? Is there a new anthropological idea to catalyze such a process? The present study attempts to answer these questions in the affirmative, and this new stage is called cardiac. In recent years, we can talk about a renaissance of feelings. It is not difficult to find an analogy between the heart (καρδία) and the feelings. In his studies, Aristotle came to the conclusion that the heart is the warmest organ in the human body, and the brain is the coldest. The heart is the source of heat, and the brain receives heat from the heart. The heart is an internal organ whose activity is always clearly discernible. The heart has a rhythm, so do the feelings. The heart can pulsate like an agitated sea, feelings also have an ebb and flow. The heart can speed up or slow down. Feelings can become more violent or calmer. Therefore we consider the heart as a symbol of the autonomous life of feelings.
