Junior lieutenant Todor Hristov — the Officer (1883—1903)
Language: Bulgarian
The life of the youngest officer in the army of the Principality of Bulgaria, a participant in the Ilinden Uprising — junior lieutenant Todor Hristov, has not been the subject of a full academic study. He is a graduate of the Military of His Royal Highness School in Sofia, after which he continues his military career in the First Cavalry Division. Enthusiastic about the ideas of officer fraternities, Todor Hristov left his military service of his own accord to join the Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organization. At the congress in the village of Smilevo, Bitola, in April 1903 he was elected a member of the High Command of the town of Krushevo, after which he took an active part in the military preparation and conduct of the uprising at one of his hottest points. He died on September 21, 1903 in a battle with Turkish troops barely twenty years old.
