The book analyses the Greek-Bulgarian conflict in Macedonia and the related dilemmas of the people living in that province. The monograph presents the foreign policy goals of Greece and Bulgaria in the beginning of the 20th century and the methods by which the two countries are trying to implement them. It traces the rivalry between Bulgaria and Greece, analyses the reasons that made the Second Balkan War inevitable, and seeks answers to why the Bulgarian failed to fulfill its foreign policy goals.
