     The present interdisciplinary study extends into a broad chronological and geographical framework, but at its center is situated the mystical experience of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah. His personality, although idealized and embellished by his followers, provides enough documented evidences to reveal the prophetic paradigm in the Near East.
