   We tell to understand. The word not only connects us with the world, but it is also our much-needed distance so that we can look at life from the side, beyond the seethingness of the present. Man alone among all beings is capable of rising in ecstasy and transcending himself. Because it's not only our limits that determine, but also our ability to overcome them. By telling, however, we also create ourselves. Language becomes the primal form of impulse, of going out and leaping over our own limits and prejudices. The pleasure of verbality cannot be replaced by any other precisely because through it we know that we live not only in the openness outside to the world, but also inside, in the depths of our own consciousness, where our own voice speaks, whispers, moans or sings.
