     Until recently, the artist Dimitar Gyudzhenov (1891—1979), who despised violence and war all his life, was known mainly as creator of military and historical paintings, which helped to cultivate patriotism in several generations of Bulgarians. Dimitar Gyudzhenov was a devoted patriot and zealous admirer of the Bulgarian past to which he has devoted his artistic talents. For the first time, in this album, his works are represented in their diversity and multi-genre richness which prove the artist as one of the great masters of portrait painting, sketches, murals and landscapes.
