Life During the Middle Ages: An Anthology
Животът през средновековието. Антология
Language: Bulgarian

The anthology offers a diverse gallery of authors, including St. Thomas Aquinas, Pope Gregory the Great, St. Bonaventure etc. In the Medieval world, everything that happens is always defined by a larger context. That is why the medieval author, even of local chronicles, tried to order what was happening according to the measure of the universal divine plan of creation, to correlate it with the patterns of the past and the predictions of the future. And this is as true of the high exemplars of monastic culture as it is of medieval literature devoted to superstitions, medical treatises or cookery books.
