   This edition aims to show a more authentic view of the Middle Ages: a time filled with dramatic events and conflicts, with worthy and not so worthy knights, with bright minds and retrograde thinkers, with a passion for knowledge and a desire to limit it, with an irresistible attraction to power and riches, to freedom and independent management of cities, with the entire palette of all possible human qualities. The focus is on the imaginary world of Medieval Western Europeans, filled with witches and magic, elves and dwarves and many other fantastical creatures. Old myths, interesting legends and folk tales are intertwined in this world, from which the stories in children's fairy tales and the characters of modern fantasy books, films and computer games start.
