"Starobalgarska literatura" (ISSN 0204-868X) publishes research papers in the field of medieval Slavic literature and culture (in the context of the Byzantine and Latin civilizations), editions of unpublished medieval Slavonic literary works and their newly-discovered transcripts, critical reviews, surveys, information on national and international scholarly events on the Middle Ages, current bibliography.

    ”Starobalgarska literatura“ publishes articles in Bulgarian and in several international languages — English, German, French and Russian. Since 2005 they are equipped with detailed summaries in English or in Bulgarian.
