Testimonial Literature in Latin America (1950—1989)
„Литература на свидетелството“ в Латинска Америка
Language: Bulgarian
In the early 1990s, humanity experienced the demythologization and collapse of many of its utopian beliefs. Latin America did not lag behind the complex processes. This book discusses some problems in Spanish American literature — the so-called Testimonial Literature (Literatura testimonial). During the period from the mid-1950s to the late 1980s, a huge number of books were published in Latin America which explicitly declared themselves "testimonies for their own sake." These are very diverse publications that "cross" and "blur" the boundaries between different discourses and do not respect the genre institution, once again making us think about what "literature" is.
