Aircraft Manufacture in Bulgaria
Самолетостроенето в България
Language: EnglishBulgarian (bilingial)

The edition describes Bulgarias' efforts to build airplanes, dating from the very begging of the aviation era. Starting with The Balkan war, the first successful Bulgarian project comes in 1915 from the aeronautical engineer Asen Jordanoff (18961967). The book analyses the constructions of all Bulgarian aircraft (Uzunov, DAR, KB, LAZ). The symbolic end of the book comes in 1955 when Bulgaria joined the Warsaw Pact and under outside pressure stops the manufacture of aircraft. The actual end of the book is dedicated to the hope of revival, connected with the manufacture of the new Bulgarian motorless airplanes.
