What do the great philosophers ask us?
Какво ни питат великите философи

In the 1990s, Leszek Kolakowski gave lectures on philosophy on Polish television, which enjoyed a viewership that few programmes can boast. In 2008, three cycles of these lectures were published under the title What the Great Philosophers Ask Us. Each of these lectures focuses on the key ideas of a world-renowned philosopher that are relevant both to his own philosophical system and to modern man. Teachers of humanity such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Meister Eckhart, Descartes, Pascal, Leibniz, Hume, Kant, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Husserl, Heidegger, and many other thinkers ask us questions: about the good, about whether moral principles are arbitrary, about whether it is possible to believe in God and at the same time claim to know nothing about Him, and much more.
