   The period between the two world wars is among the richest and most productive stages in the development of Bulgarian literature and humanitarian publicity. Therefore in the anthology exemplary programmatic and critical texts are compared with those that complement the technology of the literary process, the notions of the art of the time; those that set typological fields of meaning such as the reconceptualization of the classical literature and cultural opposition "own - foreign"; the elaboration of a new image of the homeland; rethinking the genre and poetics of the literary text; the war between the different literary schools; defining and editing the concept of modernity, etc.

   The focus is on the significant presences of the time: "The Archer Literary Circle" (Atanas Dalchev, Atanas Iliev, Konstantin Galabov), the circle around the literary association "Hyperion" (Ivan Radoslavov, Lyudmil Stoyanov), the literary journalism of the magazine "Zlatorog" (Vladimir Vasilev, Sirak Skitnik), but also the "left" literature (Georgi Bakalov); the politicization of artistic writing; the idea of ​​historicization and objectification of the literary process in the person of Boyan Penev, etc.
