Kiril Tsonev (1896—1961) was a modern Bulgarian portrait painter, landscape master and a graphic artist. He studied in Sofia, Vienna and Munich. From 1942 to 1950 he worked as a professor in Sofia. His pictures were initially influenced by the style of New Objectivity (Neue Sachlichkeit). In later times he also painted landscapes and portraits.
