The Soviet Union and the wars in Latin America
Language: Bulgarian. Category: Cold War
After the end of World War II, the Soviet Union, as a member of the victorious anti-fascist coalition, significantly increased its international reputation. On this basis, the USSR expanded and strengthened the propaganda of socialist ideas in many countries around the world. The book analyzes the Soviet Union's attempts to develop and consolidate its position in the traditional US influence zone — Latin America. On the basis of declassified archival documents, the stages of military-technical cooperation and the role of the USSR in the regional military conflicts are described in detail.
