   Based on archival documents, the book tells the story of the overt and secret negotiations for the lifting of the Bulgarian schism. The study traces chronologically by documents a long period of time — from the imposition of the schism in 1872 to the beginning of 1945, when the schism was lifted. The focus of the study is the secret negotiations in Jerusalem in 1932 between the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and the Ecumenical Patriarchate with the mediation of the Jerusalem Patriarchate.
