The book deals with the aerial battles over the Finland's air space of, led by few Finish pilots in the course of two wars — from the winter of 1939 to September 1944. The main ace is Eino Ilmari Juutilainen (1914—1999) with 94 confirmed victories. He is a participant in the events from their tragic beginning to their more tragic end for Finland. The only consolation for him and his comrades is that they remain unbeaten in the unequal struggle with their numerous adversaries and keep their country from occupation, and Helsinki remains one of the three capitals in Europe through which no enemy troops pass.
