   The monograph reveals and analyzes over 15000 documents from the archives of the Bulgarian State Security. New documents from Bulgarian political, diplomatic and military documentary collections, as well as from American, British, Russian and other foreign archives were also used. The book presents newly discovered information about:

   • over 110 representatives of the Soviet secret services in Bulgaria from the end of the Second World War until the collapse of the Soviet Union;
   • nearly 50 bilateral agreements, protocols and far-reaching plans for cooperation between the KGB and the State Security;
   • over 240 joint intelligence and counterintelligence operations;
   • over 1100 secret KGB reports received in Sofia during the 1960s and 1980s;
   • Nearly 80 KGB's technical-operational devices used by the Bulgarian secret services.
