   Four French diplomats, Jules Blondel, Henri Roux, Charles Colonna-Césari and the Marquis Edgar de Kergariou, at the risk of their lives, helped, protected and saved many lives from the Nazi hell. René Arav pays tribute here to all these French diplomats, from the shadows or almost from the shadows, who saved lives during the year 1943, the darkest period of the city of Sofia, which then fell into the hands of of the Nazis.
