   In the nineteenth century, marked by the appearance in 1806 of the first printed book in modern Bulgarian language ("Kiriakodromion or Nedelnik" (Weekly Calendar) by Bulgarian bishop Sofronii Vrachanski) until the Liberation in 1878, the Bulgarian old printed literature was formed. Despite the numerous attempts to describe, systematize and study this specific bibliographic complex, there is still no complete picture of the published Bulgarian old printed literature.

   One of the unsolved problems of historical bibliology is the study of the individual collections in the country, which preserving samples of old printed literary monuments. The disclosure and analysis of these collections will allow for a complete and comprehensive study of the Bulgarian National Revival literature and collection of more complete data on its scope, number of reprints, sequence of editions etc.
