Andrey Lekarski is a contemporary French—Bulgarian painter and sculptor born in 1940 in Sofia (Bulgaria), living in Paris. From 1954 to 1959 he studied at the School of Visual Arts in Moscow. In 1962 he enrolled at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris. He is part of the Hyperrealism movement, a genre of painting and sculpture that resembles high-resolution photograph.
