Original title: Праистория (Каталози, том XXIX)
Language: Bulgarian. Category: Prehistory
The catalogue for the "Prehistory" hall of the National Archaeological Museum presents the prehistoric collection of the institution, which is among the most diverse and rich. The presented finds reflect human development over a period of nearly 1.6 million years and cover all prehistoric periods: Palaeolithic, Neolithic, Chalcolithic and Bronze. The booklet includes the following exhibits: tools, weapons and household items, as well as those that reflect the spiritual ideas and aesthetic pursuits of our ancestors. Among the exhibits are unique anthropomorphic figures and vessels, a seal with still unread symbols, exotic objects testifying a long-distance trade (jade axe from the Alps, bracelets from the Mediterranean shell Spondylus, silver earring from Crete, glasses from the area of Troy), as well as dozens of other impressive artifacts.
