   The coin hoard was found by Lakatos Attila while metal detecting on June 13, 2022, on the territory of the locality of Sălcuța (commune Sânmihaiu de Câmpie, Bistriţa-Năsăud County, Romania), at the boundary spot called Hodaie  Pădurea Satului. According to the Romanian legislation, the artefacts were firstly submitted to the mayor hall of the residence commune Sânmihaiu de Câmpie from where they were sent to the County Department for Culture Bistrița-Năsăud. At present they are in the custody of the County Museum Complex in Bistriţa. The place is located approximately 1 km SW of the village of Sălcuţa on a pasture field . The hoard was retrieved from a depth of 5045 cm on a slight slope. In order to extract the hoard, a pit of 60×50 cm was dug out by he finder who has extended the area of digging 180×120 m and 15 cm deep, checking for possible coins left over...
