   The monograph aims is to present the theoretical medical and philosophical models found in the treatises of the Corpus Hippocraticum: a collection of over 60 medical treatises from the 5th-4th centuries BC, collected during the Late Hellenism by the Alexandrian scholars, who suggested that some of the treatises were the work of Hippocrates himself (460-370/7 BC) and others were made by his contemporaries and students.
